There are many events in life that require appraisals of personal property, such as for insurance coverage, protection of assets, estate planning, charitable contribution, liquidation of assets, and equitable distribution. All of these events and more require the expertise of an appraiser. A professional appraiser goes through rigorous training and education to make these conclusions through valuation, research, and report writing. Many professions rely on the expertise of appraisers as well including bankers, insurance adjusters, attorneys, tax agencies, estate managers and executors, museums, and many more.

The International Society of Appraisers (ISA) rigorously trains and educates appraisers in theory, principles, procedures, ethics, and the law. ISA qualified appraisers receive this training and more to be able to assist their clients with appraising their personal property.

Director and Senior Appraiser Farhad Radfar is an Accredited Member of the ISA. The ISA is the largest personal property appraisal association that represents the most experienced and tested independent appraisers in the United States and Canada. Its members include the most respected appraisers, curators, gallerists, liquidators, and auctioneers in the country. We proudly include the ISA logo on our website as well as our reports and official documentation.

All of our appraisal reports are made in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). USPAP is the recognized ethical and performance standard within the appraisal profession, and we closely review each report to ensure compliance.

The International Society of Appraisers requires its members to become and stay educated on USPAP by attending continuing education courses throughout the year. The ISA also requires that their appraisers must consistently prepare USPAP-compliant appraisals at any time. It provides a standard of professional conduct for all types of appraisers as well: real estate appraisers, personal property appraisers, and business valuators. Not all appraisers must comply with USPAP, but insurance companies and the judicial system only accept reports that are compliant with USPAP standards. Having USPAP qualifications demonstrates our commitment to providing our clients with the most up-to-date and relevant appraisal reports that can be used in a court of law or will be accepted by insurance companies. Not only is USPAP for appraisers, it can also be used by clients as a standard to gauge the quality of the appraisal they're receiving (for both written reports and verbally communicated reports).

USPAP standards, conduct, and any updates or changes are set by the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB), which is an independent organization. The ASB also has no direct relationship with current working appraisers other than the fact that working appraisers must comply with USPAP standards.
