For a flat rate fee, our research and appraisal team will examine your item, either in person or via photographs, and verbally impart to you our professional opinion as to the current fair market value, condition, medium, and information regarding the artist/maker. Additionally, the client can obtain advice on how to care for their item(s) or learn if it is worth insuring, etc. This stage is performed as follows:

Based on the number of items you have we will quote you a flat rate fee.

Schedule an appointment or arrange to email or mail us images and a check for the consultation service.
During the physical examination, or upon receipt of images, we will conduct some preliminary background and market research.
We will then provide you with our opinion as to the potential worth of the piece(s) and discuss whether or not further research or authentication is needed in order to verify the most accurate value of the item(s).
Based on the information provided through the consultation, the client decides if they would like to go forward with further research, an appraisal report, authentication, liquidation, and/or conservation & restoration services.

Note: The cost of the consultation can then be credited to the cost of additional services.
